In brisbane they build houses like this high of the ground in fear of floods

Maybe raising the house foundation of the ground would be a good start for sand-storm prone areas.

Maybe raising the house foundation of the ground would be a good start for sand-storm prone areas.

That house reminds me of seed storages that are high enough to prevent rodents getting in to eat the seeds. Where the legs are made of materials rodents can't grap on.
