Tbh, Ethiopians (mainly Oromos) migrate to everywhere Somalis live. You'll find them in DDS, Djibouti, SL and PL etc. Though, they're oftentimes deported back to Ethiopia by PL, SL and Djibouti on a regular basis. Several hundreds of thousands in the last 10 years alone.

They used to dump these Ethiopians right across the border in the DDS. Under the former DDS gov't, they used to be further deported to Oromia or wherever they originally hail from. However, the current gov't have pretty much ceased it now.

As far as why they travel to PL, they do so mostly either as economic migrants to settle there or when they're en route to the middle east.
