Puntland is currently focusing on short-term solutions(water wells, trucking water) and long term solutions(earth dams), why don't we focus on restoring the land, especially in the 'valleys' by planting large scale trees. It only cost Australia $4 million to plant 20 million trees over 10,000 Hectares, we could do this for half that cost and pass onto our future generation 'restored land' and better 'rain' opportunities for our earth dams to store water.
I also like the idea of re-directing 'shabelle river' canal from DDS into Puntland similar to this,
We need to get the OGS to accept this, it's better an ally of DDS such as PL benefits from your river source then your enemy in Hiiraan.
I do support PL short-term solutions but we need a long-term project to pass onto our descendants. Land restoration techniques like Australia is doing is going to increase 'rain' which means our 'dams' will be full and our droughts will minimize.
