Mudug has already officially been divided per the FGS/Puntland agreement from a few years back (it was de facto split since at least the civil war probably even earlier). Mudug won’t fully join either administration but the status quo in terms of territorial control will remain with more cooperation between the two nations.

Gaalkacyo is getting a new airport outside the city because of Puntland and Galmudug. The city will stay divided because of Puntland and Galmudug.
