@Based I think it's best for all parties that PL goes independent. We can get dubai to broker for us with Saudi to allow our oil fields to enter opec production quota. We can secure global markets for our energy.

With a population of 4 million and the territory the size of the UK, we have great potential. 5 trillion worth of resources can give us the capital to re-invest and create diverse sectors.

@Rationale my biggest legacy projects in PL if we had the funds from our resource sector is.

1. A river canal from DDS shabelle river running into PL in each state.
2. Investments into rain making methods(like industrial scale tree planting, regreening our mountains and valleys would be priority marked) and technology to capture more rain like cloud-seeding.

That would be my first large scale legacy investment. But unfortunately we will be stuck to this dysfunctional nation becuz of somalinimo crap.

mA may Allah assists you in your quest. I like to roam around all over The Horn with Google Earth, I noticed Bari has ton of dry river beds and seasonal rivers. So you should be able to turn the whole region back into green rolling hills.

I have similar plans for the central regions. I intend to use sand dams, ground water and canals to first revitalise the big lakes in Ceelbuur.

Somalinimo is a myth, anyone who spews it is either a doqon or a liar.

I don't think Somalis hate each other socially, but politically we are dysfunctional together, why can't we accept this or preach this publically, do we need to suffer more n more before some-one says this isn't working.

Socially, Somalis don’t hate each other. If I’m in a foreign country, Somalis that I come across there always show me love regardless of their clan. However we can have our clans interests at heart and still fock with each other. But ‘somalinimo’ will not work nationally and politically. Funnily enough, the country runs better when we all focus on our own deegaan

Isn't Somalinimo=Somali irredentism? Somalinimo and politics go hand in hand.

I'm greedy though, I also want a cut of the south's oil.

To me Somalinimo=irredentism and political unity. The word is Somali politics for the past century.

Hopefully South Central is pacifies and centralises under one government - this will then see if Puntland can be persuaded to reunite with us

Ditoore, somalis are emotional people. They see the problem and know the only solution is to separate but still cling to this false dream of unity. Hopefully, the youth get over it in the near future and I see sign of it.

Hmm. I don’t think it helps if we as people constantly internalise and keep thinking we’re dysfunctional and we can’t work together.

Like some of you said. In the diaspora we all got love for each other. I honestly don’t see why that can’t be the case back home. We’re Muslims there is no way in hell, dividing a country up even further is going to make us as a people better.

If the country was to balkanise the root of our problems would still be there. It would go from being United by clan/sub clan to being United by your sub division within your sub clan. We need to learn how to unit based on merit and value.
I and Somalia against the world.
I and my clan against Somalia.
I and my family against the clan.
I and my brother against the family.
I against my brother.-- Somali Proverb

Repeating quotes like this above just reinforces the problem. To see change we as a people must change. Honestly speaking I don’t see why we can’t.

It doesn't work that way. Two nights ago I was driving on rainy cold night when I saw this Somali oday on the side of the road trying to fix a flat tire. I pulled over and helped change the tire getting back in my car wet and freezing. I still got a cold from that night. Had that been in Somalia, im rolling down my window and straight asking him adeer yaa tahay? If he doesn't answer at a minimum Darood or carab Saalax, I'm driving on. So yes, I believe in somalinimo in the west at least kkkk

Are you being serious or are you just trolling?
I’ve never heard anyone out right ask someone for their qabil before helping. I think you’re an exception if you were serious about what you just said.

OG will never allow that canal :drakekidding:

I want an independent Puntland whether it is among the richest or poorest countries. You just can't share a country with Hutus.
