Prominent Somali Canadian sheikh Said Rageah gave a stern warning to Somalis who planned to migrate to Canada. He warns Somalis about the hardship, depression, and torment that await them in Canada. He urges the Somali community to reconsider their decision to settle in Canada and take advantage of the blessings they have in Kenya.

Some members of the Somali community criticized him because his children and wife still live in Canada. He also freely travels around the world with his Canadian passport. I even saw a Somali sheikh telling Said Rageah to be grateful for the opportunities the Canadian government has granted him and that he should be thankful instead. The quality of life upgrade for someone to come to Canada from Somalia is huge, full stop. They dont have the same expectations as us in terms of work or living accommodations.

A cab driver can provide for a family of 10 in Somalia. The Sheikh is talking from an idealistic perspective. He should sit down with “university graduates” of Somalia.
