You left out the first bit of the discussion which was about the constitution of Somalia. Somaliland has nothing to do with Somalia and so obviously he is correct.
I agree this sort of rthethoric is going to destroy somali unity eventually let’s hope it doesn’t and cooler heads emerge and the country is saved
There is an distinction between PL and SL.
PL was the founder of the SYL movement by Yasin Ali Sharmarke before he nationalised it with the so called 13, he himself was a grand kid of Hobyo Sultan Keenadiid. The SYL drew it's inspiration from the Darawish movement which was an armed movement but he only refused the militant posture not the actual idealogy.
Both the political(MJ) and armed wing (Dhulbahante) of Somalinimo are founding members of PL state.
By the way not all MJS were pro union only the Hobyo sultanate territory were. The Majerteniya Kingdom of Nugaal and Bari were not interested and the king was put in house arrest in Mogadishu. He wanted his own sultanate and kingdom to become a national state once the Italian protectorate agreement completed.
He only signed a protection with Italy because the Darawish were in bed with the Ottomans trying to preserve the old ruling power who was being pressured on multiple fronts by the west in its old stomping grounds. Plus the added pressure of Keenadiid who he was afraid was going to expand Hobyo borders and swallow his territory up.
The British were in bed with Ethiopians and Kenyans and Landers and simply not in our interest plus their were worried of their missionizing crapola and changing people history and identity to suit their cooked up global image put onto books and media. The British are big enemies of all Darods possibly due to ethio, lander, Kenyans influencing them. But it's of no question, haven't seen a god damn good thing come from those people, so I urge you all to beware .

PL existed as a kingdom before SL even existed and were under the British queen for god sakes. Yes they were under a British kingdom and their existence came due to accepting the queen is the monarch for those territories, this means their no was no kingdom in SL and the people were just wax qaawans or no man's land status. Either way their can't be two Kings in one territory and Queen Elizabeth was the reigning monarch for SL, while Landers were royal possessions of that queen.
