@seldiboy If u guys support federalism for Somalia which is 'realistic' or else they will kill each other for centralized power, and get rid of support for terrorists. I think the official stance of the Eritrean govt is one that supports centralisation in Somalia. Of the Eritreans aware of recent Somali affairs, the vast majority are fond of Siad Barre. I don't think Afwerki would use Afars for anything either since they are the most likely to cause ethnic strife within Eritrea.
I agree IOG is useless but Djibouti isn't really a problem for Eritrea. Any issues we have them have been caused by the unnecessary warmongering which has been progenitive courtesy of Afwerki

This is probably roughly accurate. Afar might be 5%. Just to note, Tigrayans are the ones south of the Mereb. I wouldn't advise calling a Kebessa Highlander in Eritrea a Tigrayan,

Eritrea does not really have any reliable census data. No one knows what the ethnic and religious breakdown is, it is all estimated.

It’s extrapolated but there is data from around Independence. These aren’t far off from reality tho ethnic wise. Religious demographics have been calculated with surveys though
@seldiboy Siyad Barre housed/trained/funded TPLF and Eritrea, the tplf ethiopia and eritrea are his legacy just like Djibouti is. Plus no offence but TPLF/eritrea war on Ethiopia was nothing at the scale of Somalia and Ethiopia where Russia/CUBA/South yemen intervened and reached the international stage. If Somalis go to war like futuh al habash, it will be a world event. Siyad told Kenya, he will send his 'police' to arrest them, becuz he doesn't believe bantu are worth even military response.
