The President has told this group of young Somalis who are hoping to enter politics that he will ensure he leaves a structure for them to work with and thus gives them a chance to move the government forward.

He has also let the upcoming generation know that he has given the 'dhalinyaro' opportunities in his government and many people among the older generation are not so happy that they are being replaced by fresh faces.

As the Federal Government of Somalia and the Turkey Republic have had close ties for more than 500 years them training Somali soldiers to ensure security for their nation is very important. They have one of the best army's in the world and train Somali soldiers alongside the US and UK.

Once the arms embargo is lifted from Somalia I could see them being one of our main suppliers of advanced weaponry.

The implementation of 1m1v also known as universal suffrage is one of the fundemental frameworks that each FGS government strives to achieve. This was also true in the previous administration but was rarely talked about. The President has always been an advocate for an approximation of 1m1v however the oppositional states threw a tantrum and he thus conceded on that point for the country's sake and has improvised.

The current electoral model came through a compromise between the FGS and FMS stakeholders. However there were some changes such as increase of delegates and increase of voting locations in each FMS. This has been seen as the IC as a step forward and I agree that this upcoming election will be an improvement over the previous one.
