Deni said yesterday he's ready for negotiations, He's also said that to Catriona laing when she visited last week, and she welcomed that in her speech. So I don't think he's against negotiations or has any conditions.

No he has conditions which is for HSM to announce a ‘committee’. HSM has always said he’s not willing to talk anything related to positions in his government or power sharing and that talks can only be between him and Deni over specific things like the NCC (like resource agreements, income tax laws, federalism courts etc). And that if they can’t reach a reasonable agreement he’ll have to move on.

Beesha Caalamka, especially America have this time said to Deni you must go participate without any conditions. So no ‘PL doesn’t have it’s right share in government’ or ‘we are against NCC deals totally because they’re against federalism’.

He didn't state any of the things you said, but you seem to think that HSM can do this without PL. We will see how the events unfold, usually HSM threatens rain and delivers only haze.

He also cutt ties with FGS and said PL will act independently till constitution is completed and Somaliland returns. That has now changed but there’s more ways to go. The outgoing US ambassador said he still doesn’t know what PL’s complaints are and he wants them to point it out.

It's true that he didn't say previously what PL wants, and expressed he needed consultations, but yesterday he disclosed that the committee produced clear points that represents PL's position on the federalization process.

There’s no chance Beesha Caalamka would again pressure him to drop any ‘conditions’ and engage with constitutional process if there’s been a change.

New UN woman said she was happy to hear he would engage but I doubt (given she’s new to the position) that she’ll be aware of what that means. Fact US called him again and told him so bluntly he must be part of ‘geedi-socodka’ is all I need to know they want the constitution completed
