AMISOM does zero fighting. They will be replaced soon enough as SNA gets funding transitioned towards them rather than AMISOM.

The only issues always is AMISOM is going to be needed for transition in elections because without them we’ll have a dictatorship or coups I bet. Without AMISOM Farmaajo probably would be dead right now. And HSM would also be unable to make any top brass changes to the SNA/police/civil service without worrying about an attempt on his life.

You think highly of atmis . Hope you know somalis are the ones fighting al Shabaab head on . The Taliban captured Kabul because majority of the ppl sharee their ideology where as most somalis that support al Shabaab do so for economic reasons or lack of trust to the government .

The taliban were from the Pashtun tribe who are majority in Afghanistan. Al-shabab are from minority that is why they are losing to a poorly armed and trained Somali army made up of Hawiye majority.
