He died today in Garoowe and was former Commander of Puntland Darwiish Defence Forces and advisor to current Puntland President on military matters.

General Carays had a distinguished long military career. He was Puntland's commander of chief, he joined with Saciid Dheere and other military leaders and accompanied President Abdullahi Yusuf to South Somalia and then returned some time later after Abdullahi Yusuf resigned.

Gen Carays was never part of the TFG and was only in Mogadishu to bring Puntland troops back is laughable.

He was in the thick of it and a commander of the TFG's SNA under Abdullahi Yusuf's presidency way before Abdullahi resigned and I gave you even the timeline.

I dare you to retract that General Carays didn't join way before his resignation on December 29th 2008.

As soon as Muqdisho was taken he was in the thick of it.

We know this because before the capture of Laascaanood Cabdisamad Cali Shire was in charge and Commander of the Darawiish.
