There will be 18 reserved seats for women in the Somaliland's House of Representatives, 3 from each of Somaliland's 6 provinces.

The Gabooye community will also be receiving 3 MP's in the House of Representatives (Belonging to each of the 3 main political parties) to represent the community, with one of the 3 MP's reserved for women as well. This reserved seat for women will count towards the designated 18 total for women under the new reforms.

I applaud these reforms. Well done to President Bihi and his administration for fulfilling their campaign promise of greater political representation for women and minorities in SL. :qri8gs7:

This is good news maybe we get some young women elected next year who can really shake things up.

If you want someone to blame, it's the EU who keeps Somaliland on its toes for democracym remember when silanyo delayed the election they ignored & defunded allot of projects till election was scheduled

waraabe

Your superior
Women are 50% of Somaliland population so should get 50% of Parliament, gov and civil service.

Time for women to stand up and be counted, vote for parties that work in your interest.
