Yes it really does. Saudi Arabia took advantage of us during the civil war and spread the cancer called Wahabbism.

I think it was the civil war or around 77 war when people started changing in a way. War typically brings people back to diinta.

Somali culture and society was at it's peak! Even the people looked better and happier. Xamar was the most beautiful city in the horn! For anyone saying this has anything to do with deen, you are wrong. I would say Somalis acted more Muslim back then they do today. Rarely anyone drank alcohol and the most Mosques in Somali history were built! Also Arabic and afternoon Quran schools were built everywhere. No one was killing other muslims just because of their clan either or allowing foreigners into our land to exploit us
