Port Sudan to Addis; New transport corridor out of/into Ethiopia

New press release from 'Africa Rail' which took place from 25 to 26 June at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, rail project 'on track' following feasibility study
Port Sudan looks like another planned port connection for Ethiopia, basically Amhara. It will connect to the already started Awash/Weldiya rail line which began construction in 2015
Obviously trying to divest from the Djibouti port that they rely heavily on - which is great for them, right..right
But what I found funny was when I put all these into google maps (never heard about a lot of these towns/cities.. naturally) is that they were coming up in the Amhara region. Not even in a subtle, plausible deniability kind of way- its like the intention was to avoid the Oromia region. It looks like they are playing a game of , The floor Oromia is lava.

They are powering through construction in the rugged Ethiopian highlands. This is just one portion of the line through Amhara
The railway has 10 substations, 12 caves that are 10km long, 52 different-size bridges; 8 power control stations; 12 radio poles; one main workshop (maintenance center).

With the road and rail connection to Lamu (from Addis) going through entirely* Oromo regions in Ethiopia - looks like they are each securing their own transport corridors out of the country.
