The real problem I have here is his closeness with the Sufis here referring to them with words like “Culumada waa weyn” or other praise is problematic. This is a Salafi country we should be trying to stamp out the embers of Jaahiliyah(Somali Sufism) not emboldening them.

Sheikh Abdulkadir Jeylani was a Jewish rabbi who converted to Islam. He came from Persia, a town known as Gilan. Hence why the nickname Gilani given to him.

Sufis tend to understand the spirit of the letter but downplay the law of the letter, thus end coming up with weird bidcah stuff.
