PM Abiy embarrassed

Let him be humiliated on the global stage :hahaidiot:

Truth to be told, he’s not worthy of being given respect. I would’ve turned my back and ignored him too. They call it law of nature :manny:

Somalis have no room to speak. Madaxweyne keena sida naag iya la oo wada melkasto, ninkaas ceeb ma yaqaano. America ayoo markasta nikko oo sameya iyo waxbo moo ka helin.

Ethiopia is not much ahead of Somalia. The country is at any given time two seconds from descending into chaos and a full blown civil war. Active conflicts as we speak.

Having a better image amongst shisheeye won't make their country better in the grand scheme of things. Just like Somalia, Ethiopia are currently under sanctions. They also receive aid to prevent their people from starving (not that Abiy cares if they would, considering how he weaponizes aid and killed 000s of his people).

If you've missed, he even embarrassingly begged publicly to Biden not to remove trade benefits (AOGA) to prevent mass unemployment/sufferings during the Tigray war. Today he's still looking to get it reinstated, but US are using these programs to control Ethiopia until they do what they're told.

Ethiopia is trash in gdp in the grand scheme outside of the horn. No denying that. In fact, somalia could catch up with the right leadership. But you can rest assured and sleep at night knowing he’s not pocketing ENDF mushaar.

Abiy isn’t perfect far from. He’s serving his own agenda whilst at the same time catering to his want for nationalism by pursuing a national army.

In retrospect wtf are Somali leaders doing backdooring their own troops against terrorists, and siding with secessionists. :ftw9nwa:

abiy meets the bare minimum of a leader. Which is putting the country first. A requirement Somali leaders don’t adhere to.

Yeah, the only advantage Ethiopia has is control of all its borders (at least almost) and having monopoly in violence, despite militant threats and armed struggles against their rule.

Once you're in this position, you have a free reign to execute your agenda. In Somalia, state forces (even clan militias, lol) can challenge the national army today :jcoleno:

As far as politicians in Somalia, Xalane-rule have done a number on us kkk. When the president can freely roam in the capital without fearing for his safety, then we can start comparing ourselves to foreign leaders :drakekidding:

Somalia's politics is nothing short of clownery. You're talking about the president siding with secessionists, the bar is high kkk. The state tv don't even have any coverage on the war in the north, which is said to be ordered straight from the gov't.

We have a long way to go :damn:

Legally from the point of view of the Somali government there are no secessionists. Somaliland is a federal state.

Post xalane somalia is going to be a spectacle for better. Somalis doing all of this while under xalane/UN gumeeysi. The whole country is a social experiment gone wrong.

that Ethiopian centralization of power still hasn’t occurred. Even though we’re in post civil war. We all fucked each other up with no winner, leaving us with a mess.

bar can’t get any lower when “National” news can’t cover the nation.

Yes. Needed that correction. Seeing as the south needs to tip toe around that issue to entice reunification.

unfortunately it's a french puppet dicatorship that keeps it's people poor.
We are still poor by world standards but even with a dumb ass dictator we still have 3x gdp per captia making the average Djiboutian richer than his neighbour.

The Djiboutian could be one of the wealthiest on the continent if the wealth is distributed more fairly. The rent from the bases and the money from the ports are already enough to create a welfare state if need be.

Sadly my sub clan of the ciise which is known for fighting the french and being fierce nationalists were somewhat sidelined in Djiboutian politics, we'll kill that bastard and his dynasty one day.
