IMF debt relief will definitely be delayed a few months with this but it is what it is. As long as it’s completed is all that matters.

The average Hawiye seem to think they own Somalia . I remember you and Biden bragging about isolating Puntland since it’s an empty desert. You refused to discuss constitution , refused compromise and arrogantly predicted the debt will be cancelled with or without Puntland participation. Now few months later the useless PM is accusing Puntland of holding the nation hostage. The reality is , Puntland has leaders with decades old connections to the donors . They independently get funds from a lot of major donor countries . We have been thru this in the first term of HSM and we run circles around him in the first 3 years of his term , only to come to his senses in the last 18 months of his term .
Puntland has nothing to lose in this silly war . 360 million from sales tax , three functional airports , two functional ports and a diaspora community ready to help their state when needed. You only have to choices here :
- A large scale war on Puntland ; a war you will never win and even in the unlikely event you win , you will never stay for a long
- come to the negotiating table and for once act Somalia belongs to all us . Either way it’s win/win for Puntland
