At the moment there are only two Muslim countries on the grand scale who stand on their own politically, economically and militarily.
In your opinion which among the the two is prevailing?

Turkey is far away from being a soft power. It is one of the few contemporary countries out there that directly engages in wars. The first ever drone war was conducted by Turkey. They erased an equivalent of two battalions of the Syrian Arab Army in Idlib. To add, the Turks militarily turned the tide of the Libyan conflict in their own favor.

That said Turkey is not a superpower but rather a regional enhanced power. For Turkey to become a superpower, it needs to go nuclear and have a robust space industry.

Iran has been under the severe economic sanctions for a long time. It is amazing they are still this strong. They kicked Saudi Arabia/ the UAE in the nuts in Yemen.

Iran even has its own successful space program. If not for the sanctions, they might have surpassed Turkey.

In my books superpower means untouchable militarily. I wager there are different grades of being superpower.

There is only one absolute superpower in the world though. And that is the US.

Russia, China and India are the second tier group due to their nuclear arsenal, population size and landmass.

The UK and France are the third tie group. Turkey has a chance to join this group if it plays its cards right.

Coincidentally, all of them except for India are the permanent members of the UN Security Council.

They are both Gaajo countries. Turkish and Iran Currency’s are shit and Iran’s Employment rate is abysmal.
