Barkhad Abdi is in Umerika decades he eats Canjeero every day. Now does he look like he got calories in his ribs.

How can it have zero calories? A cup of flour is like 500 calories, and I'm not including the other ingredients.

The Somalis back home are walking everywhere for long periods and are active which is why they are skinny. But it's not a healthy food to eat, especially regularly.

We don't know if Barkhad Abdi was eating that everyday. If he was, he must be an active person.

It ain't about "calories", saxiib. You could probably get more than enough raw calories from enough Canjeero. It's about something most people know nothing about nowadays; micronutrients. And frankly even macro-nutrients. All you're likely to get from Canjeero are refined carbs. No real bioavailable (easily absorbable) protein and fat in terms of macros and essentially close to no fat soluble vitamins, minerals, amino acids and so on in terms of micros. Will just give you maybe some cheap energy if you're an athlete who wants a pre-work out pump-up but the building blocks of your body won't be there hence the luugo basto. But hey, at least it's fermented for greater digestibility and ease on your gut unlike most grain-based foods.
