Last night. It was a beautiful wedding but everyone there was talking about one thing. Why nobody from the grooms side came? Only 3 of his male friends and his sister came. Also 70% of the songs played were Arabic even though nobody was dancing to them the dj(Who was somali) just couldn't take the hint and kept playing them. The two most popular rumors were 1) that his family did not approve of the marriage because she's Somali-racism- or 2) because she was a single mother-he was previously married too just no kids. I felt embarrassed for her because thats all the guests were talking about.

Alot of Arabs don't like Somalis let alone anything "madow". It's rare to see a Somali-Arab marriage which both sides approve.

I don't understand why people go through with marriages that the family don't approve off and having kids that the in laws will just abuse if they come over.

My neighbour is from Lebanon and him and his family are the best neighbour one can ask for..
