I have a question.
How is the largest ethnic group in the Horn have no power in Ethiopia?
Also why do the diaspora try to assimilate with Somalis so badly? Most of them know our language and it was only recently they became proud of their ID whrte back in the day they would claim Somali.
I just had an argument with my Uber driver who’s Oromo who claimed that Somalis originated from them when in actually we are distinct Cushitic tribes.

Our language have a similar Cushitic origin but I'm not sure how closely related we are genetically.

Oromos aren't one monolithic group so there's less group cohesion so that might explain the lack of proportional influence they hold.

I mean we have too many chiefs not enough indians ( too many leader wannabes, politicians etc but no one willing to actually follow the rules at this point.) and the oromo and afar are more docile (too docile lol)
