If the country of mog and its six federal states (one unrecognized state and a couple more on the way) can't solve their problem of tribalism with no political or economic advantage, then this will be our future. And besides, I don't think mass expansion of bantus is coming to Somalia anytime soon; rather, it will be Somalis doing the mass migration to other EAC countries.
If this brings in money, I would invest so my children can shift from tribalism to generational wealth.

One thing i dont like is if all these bantu migrate to Somalia do to Somalia low cost of living and great economical future that coming soon due Somalia and also not being in debt and the Somalia currency will raise on that point. I dont see advancement in Somalia joining this union except for all the other Somali people already living in these eastern/ central African countries will get better treatment or stronger Somalia passport with in Africa.
I believe we’re headed to centralization, not more autonomous states. SSC kinda forced its way in.
But I agree with the rest. Maybe throwing us into a bigger bowl will force the majority to down play the clan stuff and become more ethnocentric.
Also, money and economical opportunities lower tribalism anyways
Countries like Tanzania has a lot a potential.
That being said, I think at best they will be looser EU. The core(Kenya/Uganda/Tanzania) countries political class is pretty different with different values and views.

I still dont see any gain other then a reduction in the notion a tribalism. I would hate to see if Somalia gets turned in to some vacation spot.

CEEB CEEB CEEB. The crazy thing is they want Somalis to learn swahili. This is an infringement on the Somali language. I will never even try to learn that clickity clackity language. Why cant the Somali plate split already.

To allow somali business to move freely among all nation. I promise you no ajnabi wants to risk setting up shop in Somalia but somalis will and take full advantage of having braches in whatever nation they want. If a future administration wants to leave they can and nothing will stop them.
