I support a separate Puntland citizenship ID to prevent any random from claiming a PL tribe as theirs and start collecting money from the govt or sabotage us by voting for a shit candidate. I don't put it past qooslaye from finding an mj puppet to run for PL president and then drive all of his relatives up north to tamper with the vote.

A PL citizenship makes this impossible. You say it makes us second class citizens I say the opposite it makes all of us equal my vote is the exact same as any mjs vote since I'm a puntland citizen same as them that's how democracy works. Anyone who is from the land and their parents from the land is eligible for this citizenship it's not a qabiil thing.

Only reason more of us don't straight up lobby for independence is because we aren't delusional like isaaq wasting all their energy time and money yelling we are not Somali to anyone with ears we are already our own country in everything but name how the world recognizes us is irrelevant. U don't understand the difference between a constitution which is the rule of law, since you are from a clan that has no history about governments or state matters and we're under hobyo sultanate which mutated to SYL and subsequently the Somali Republic.

In PL irrespective what clan u r, where u born, whether your native to the region or not. A Puntite Citizen is first and foremost a quality or characteristic(Wadani about PL and have supporting proof).

The person clan, birth place, parent origins are just social matters and has no sway before the state or any of its institutions. We are a united as puntites not on clan or politics but sharciga iyo dasturkasi oo aan wada hos galno irrespective of clan origin, politics of the day or time, clan association.

Puntland was founded with the help and consensus of many tribes, and all of them have/elect their representatives to serve their interests in the parliament. No muufo iyo cambuulo politics here. We have a tradition of good governance and consensus between all, I hate to be someone who sticks it but your ancestors were governed by our sultan at one point, they weren’t oppressed, they kept their livelihood, paid their taxes, had safety and protection from tribes who wanted to attack them/rob their livestock.
