Not really. This reminds me of a story my dad told me back when aideed and ali Mahdi were terrorising the capital my dad and his best friend (my dads abgaal and his best friend was HG) so they decided in order to survive if they get approached by militia from each clan they would claim to be one or the other. So first they came across abgaal militia and they asked for their clan. My dad gave his whole abtiris and said his friend was his brother and they had the same abtiris. The militia then told them to watch out for the HGs and when they came across HG militia the whole day my dads friend gave his entire abtiris and said my dad was his brother they then got away with it again and kept doing that. This reminds me of the oromos claiming various dir clans. You really have no way to tell them apart since oromos and somalis look the exact same so if an oromo was to learn the full abtiris of any somali HES pretty much set for life in Somalia. Who’s to say many of them haven’t already assimilated in like this..

When Somalia stabilises, all Somalis need to undergo testing even if its dna to keep their citizenship. Abtiris verified by more than one nuclear "cousin" family should be fine.

You can get away with being a sheegato temporarily but when faced with the clan, you cannot hide as people will say "he is not my cousin" or " never met them before"

The only clan Oromos claim is Dir, and that is because they were assimilated into the Dir clan during the middle ages. Any other claims that you listed are far from the truth, and VERY over exaggerated.

I once argued with an oromo guy who genuinely tried explaining to me that hawiye (my own clan) was the son of barentu who was captured by samaale and that he was an oromo man who somalis claim. This same guy also gave me a paragraph as to why rahanweyn are also oromos and due to violence between rahanweyn and hawiye darood somalis came and conquered them into being somali in order to weaken the oromos. Yes. I am not exaggerating this at all these people are scary I’ve spoken to a lot of them on social media they see us as their long lost OROMO brothers

Mate....I said hawiye was a confederation because it is when exactly did xawalde and degodia join the club? Ajuran? It’s clear as day My qabil is abgaal then into hiraab then into samaale. Hawiye is just political and it was you who said you had a certain percentage of Ethiopian in you and kept saying it was harari when it was much more likely oromo. I never said hawiye was oromo I said degodia and ajuran probably have oromo subclans anyways all in all I’m just telling you what an oromo dude told me take what you wish from it and no matter how many times you tell me I’m not hawiye that will never change the fact that I’m abgaal to the core.
