Public opinion is still important even though it's an indirect election. More Somalis are connected to the internet now than ever before, and this will only help build a good public image for the candidates that deliver their messages well.

That's fake news nobody pimped somali women. The somali women that waere suppose to work as cleaners in,hospital, airports and maids got shut down in parliement. Since the 90s there have been Somali men and women migrating illegally to Saudi arabia through yemen to work those same jobs illegally.
It's quite funny how a community that says they are anti Kenyan government keeps repeating the same propganda that was started by the Kenyans lol most educated Somalis have seen through that propaganda
