How come when a Somali does something all twitter accounts and social media make it explicitly clear the person of interest was Somali but you barely see this with other ethnicities other than maybe Pakistanis, Iranians and maybe some other marginalized groups . However, if some Somali is caught doing something, people know it’s a Somali within hours


look at this link and they never have yet mentioned this guy’s ethnicity but if he was Somalis walahi I bet you the post would’ve been like
“Somali prankster harasses people in London “

Slapping the Somali label on anything gets more engagement. You could have a post like "guy does good thing" and get 5 likes or find a black guy doing a thing and title it "Somali guy does good thing" and suddenly 10,000 Somalis will materialize from thin air and engage with the post. Us being blamed for things that non-Somalis do is a result of that. It's all an Internet engagement farming tactic.
