Not gonna lie, this has crossed my mind a couple of times

I still have a full head of hair at 2 months show of 29 now. No fin, only used minox to fill in my beard and no Turkey trip. I was definitely losing it during my early 20s and probably would be bald now from looking at my cousins on either side and my dad. Some of the methods I've used are... rather unorthodox:

  • I don't use any hair-products. That includes shampoo. I just use drinking or filtered "soft" water, a bristle brush and a steel comb to remove debris once or twice a day. Though nowadays I do moisturize my scalp and hair with tallow and would like to return to egg-washing this Ramadan
  • I semi-regularly massage my scalp for 10-15 mins straight to increase blood flow (every few days)
  • I derma roll semi-regularly (1-2 times a week or so)
  • I eat a nutrient dense, non-inflammatory, proper human diet (carnivore)

I seem to have mostly halted the hair loss from my 19-22 years but lately I get the sense I've been managing to actually fill in the few empty spots and get denser hair thanks to the scalp massages and derma-rolling. Hunter-Gatherers didn't really go bald, as far as I know. Don't think the old Geeljires did either. It's a modern ailment seemingly attributable to all the carbs, seed oils, hair-products and a myriad of other confounding factors related to those.

I got a friend like this and I tell him " hey it looks like it's coming back" and I know for fact it's not, but I really don't want him to cut it. It's my highlight of the day that I see him.

With saaxiibs like you who needs enemies, eh?

I'm proud of you and your consistent efforts. Mashallah 💗

Bro js shampoo ur hair once a week wear a bonnet and put saliid on if its balding use capilia longia aswell as rosemary oil before using seems roller

This isn't normal nor is it 'genetic'

It's malnutrition. If someone done a full mineral and nutrient panel they're probably very low in riboflavin, biotin, folate, and vitamin B12.
It is undoubtedly genetic. No one has a bidaar problem as much as Somalis. Why that’s the case? I don’t know. Alhamdulilah I have a full head of timo Madow , but it’s crazy how many are affected by this in our race. You skip a beat south or west to Kenya or Ethiopia, the issue isn’t this bad

I don't think so. People say things are genetic way too easily when it should be the last thing.

There might be things a lot of Somalis do including their diet that contributes I know of several studies done that found deficiency in certain nutrients.

After 30 years old, It wouldn't bother me if I were bald. Also are you implying that people in the olden days of Somalia didnt bald? Thats quite the claim

Surely Diet dosent matter that much

I think I had a balding scare at like 14 when i saw my sides were comin in... I was scared for no reason it was just a combination of a bad cut + the phase my hair was in. I just make sure to Oil it nowadays but in the past year ive started to use conditioner and shampoo a lot.

Read a study which determined rosemary oil is as effiacious as 2 % minnox so try use that peeps. I used to use finasteride during uni and it halted any loss and i gained new hairs. Unfortunately , it seemed to cause trouble with my procreative desires.
