Since Mohamed Ramadan dropped Bum Bum, the North Africans been up 10-0 in the Arabic music game.

Primarily Soolking and Mohamed Ramadan. But honourable mention to Cheb Khaled, who also held it down for ages.

As I’ve said on other threads, I’m not a big music listener except for when I’m travelling or exercising.

But I really really hope Somalia gets a decent music industry.

Inb4 ppl say it’s haram, ppl are already making songs, I just want to see better production quality, more catchier melodys and beats.

I want Somali to have a nice music sense. Traditional and classy like let's say Eritrea or Sudan. I don't want us to fall into the blingy rap bullshit that's taking third worlders by storm. We've already got our main artists recycling afrobeat hits and putting Somali lyrics :icon e sad: it's a shame.

Nah if it’s done tastefully like Nigeria, then I’m okay with it.

Algeria and Egypt have very good music scenes and produced world class musicians.
