Non-Muslim instead of ex-Muslim

Recently I've preferred the term 'non-Muslim' over 'ex' because I think the latter term sub-conciously triggers Muslims given that the message you're basically giving off is 'I dumped what you're still holding on to.' I find that 'non-Muslim' or 'irreligious' gives off less of a belligerent tone (some people will always remain triggered lol)

Some dumb white people think Muslims are similar to Jews, a sort of race, and not just a religion. So, ex-Muslim will trigger racial connotations among dumb Westerners.
