Rubbish. HSM defo has a plan for a proper Shabaab second wave but it is on pause for many reasons. Ethiopia will make quick work of Shabaab the minute the offensive is launched.

Right now tho he clearly wants to blackmail the IC into funding the SNA as ATMIS leaves, wants the arms embargo lifted otherwise ‘we’ll collapse like Afghanistan which will be worse as it’ll spread into Ethiopia and Kenya and international shipping lanes etc’. Second these FMS leaders were there when Farmaajo was there and nothing new has happened. LG is still trigger happy, Gudlawe still controls a state split in half, Madoobe still can’t get Gedo handed over.

The only way to solve the issues is elections in these states but each of these FMS would quickly oppose him and that will stop all progress on the constitution, debt relief so he has to work with what he’s got. If HSM forced change in the FMS’ he’d be accused of being another Farmaajo, anti-federalism and lose American support. Very hamstrung but he’s patient.

Shabaab have lost more important cities in shabellaha dhexe and Galmudug than Hiiraan. Ceedheer, galcad, adan yabaal, xarardheere etc

so the credit goes to SNA imo. Without SNA Hiiraan offence gets crushed last year like the macawisley offensives back in the day when Abgaal fought Shabaab and Farmaajo refused to help or when sacad was fighting them and set for xarardheere offensive but again Farmaajo sabotaged it. Alhamdulilah it coincided with HSM’s election.

btw HSM has asked America to lift their drone strike restrictions but the far left democrats would start crying about civilian deaths etc. like ilhan omar. Biden refused to even support Ugandan troops when they got invaded with a drone strike. America air support is useless. Turkey was more helpful but they stopped it after UN complaints. US diplomatic support is more important for arms embargo and also IMF that they effectively control.

hopefully ATMIS pull out can be our leverage. It’s the only way out tbh as that way the IC will be forced to support SNA or face a terrorist capture of the whole country
