Why did an Indian need to "fake" being black to get into Med School? Indians, immigrant or not, already feature prominently in higher education.

I know that but this misses the point. Affirmative action reserves slots make such small sliver of overall first year candidates that it makes no sense why an Indian can't simply apply to any university and get in. Sounds like entitlement complex is at play here.
