Most people see africans as cool nowadays, especially the younger folks in Europe. People like Skepta getting popular definitely popularised nigerians and by extension africans. Every country is different so I can’t comment on Uk but everywhere in Europe the pattern is the same.Being African wasn’t cool especially for his generation as an 80s baby shit ain’t like it is now
Being African still ain’t cool in certain parts of America you will get clowned on heavily especially if your a fob they don’t show no mercyMost people see africans as cool nowadays, especially the younger folks in Europe. African artists, athletes, actors, celebrities and nowadays social media personas getting popular —> africans become cool.
Also have to note how vast majority of africans are children of immigrants so still are influenced a lot by the more social and warmer african cultures. Because of this most africans are more social then others and people tend to like extroverts a lot. This is why people have good impressions of africans which in turn gives a good rep for africans.

Mainland Europe and uk have different dynamics The uk is kinda similar to Canada in that the black culture was created by Caribbean people especially Jamaicans so skepta probably didn’t embrace his own African culture growing up I seen it myself here sometimes in Canada as well certain African youths gravitating more towards Caribbean culture especially back in the days nowadays it’s different though African pride is heavier in both uk and North America
