The design is not all that. They kept it simple from what I can see. They designed it in such a way that it blends with the other nearby buildings. Still a better alternative than what was there before. This will create jobs in Xamarweyne. The district is one of the most neglected districts. Good to see they are investing in it.Why is it spelled Hamarweyne instead of Xamarweyne?
I'm not a fan of the architecture here from what I can see but the photos aren't the best view. The inside looks weird in photo 3 of the first post.

Gov doesn’t build anything. Xamar was build by the local tribes. Xamarweyne is more like a neutral ground. No major tribe can claim it which is why it was neglected. The gibil cad and gibil madow tribes are too scared to invest in it because of what happened to them during the civil war.I haven't watched the video yet but I hope it works with the local architecture. The capital is built with very little state planning from what I can see. I haven't been yet so my opinion is not the most valid.
I thought Xamarweyne was less neglected since it's in the capital near the government.
Hundreds if not thousands of years of history in those neighborhoodsthere needs to be more historical preservation specifically in shingani and xamarweyne, worst thing would be if old historical buildings there would be destroyed to make way for another restaurant, mall etc
They replaced an old run down mall with this new one.there needs to be more historical preservation specifically in shingani and xamarweyne, worst thing would be if old historical buildings there would be destroyed to make way for another restaurant, mall etc
