AMLO is the current president and is very popular. Ppl are divided but he has lots of supporters. AMLO is kind of like Bernie Sanders to use an example ppl might know. AMLO is this leftist person who gives out free stuff to poor people. He also pushes an evil agenda of things like promoting lgbt in schools but a lot of ppl overlook these things because he gives people handouts. also AMLO is crypto communist and freemason.
anyways. Sheinbaum did not win power. AMLO won power and Sheinbaum was chosen by AMLO as his successor. Morena is AMLO's party. It is Morena, AMLO and the machine behind him that put Sheinbaum in power.
Sheinbaum is a communist jew and it is logical in a sense that influential marxist forces in Mexico that have been at work for a while are putting a communist jewess in power.
nobody should think it is a real organic democratic thing. Sheinbaum was put there by elites. Morena and the opposition are not really enemies and the democracy in Mexico and pretty much all Latin countries is fake.

and why do large numbers of poor people support Morena? Beliefs and politics- not really, at least not beliefs. their beliefs don't really match the beliefs of the people.
the bottom line is they get their support because they offer free stuff to poor people. same with Lula in Brazil, same with Pedro Castillo in Peru, you have large numbers of poor people who sort of understandably put their vote for whoever is offering them free stuff and so that is why there is support for Morena. at the end of the day, I refuse to dignify Sheinbaum by treating her as an independent person- Sheinbaum is merely who AMLO picked as successor and it is AMLO who put her where she is.
darker skinned people there tended to be poorer since the time of the Spanish. it isn't racism but classism. the president is generally going to come from a rich elite background.
also this guy is one of the most loved and iconic figures in Mexican politics and I don't think he is light skinned
it's true he didn't become president but he was assassinated and elites hated him while ordinary people love him. also other Indians became president such as Victoriano Huerta and Benito Juarez.
