My theory for why muslims became the most backwards people on earth

We as muslims should analyse and learn from our previous mistakes, one of the biggest blunder's Muslims made was rejecting the printing press. In the mid 13th century the German genius johannes Guttenberg invented the printing press. And from there on many countries developed printing presses. The ottomans were one of the first to develop it but then religious tyrants banned it for the muslims but the Jews who were living within the ottoman empire were allowed to continue to print there books. The ottomons imposed the death penalty on printers. And by the turn of the 20th century only 3% of ottoman citizens were literate compared to 60% of western citizens. This paved the way for the greatest civilization in human history.
This is one great example of why religious theocracy doesn't work. Somali should become secular and should separate religion from state or we could continue or backwards lifestyle.

The Muslims of the past were far better than the Muslims of today. We lost our way somewhere along the line

I agree with your theory but disagree that it is secularism that is the solution to our problems. Islam is very deep and complex sxb that requires a balence. It is a mistake to assume that secularism would help Somalis or any other Muslim nation.

Walal, all innovation and Law is derived today from either the remnants of the Tawraat or the Qur'an. Writing, language, knowledge etr.

Allah swt promised in the Qur'an that those who uphold his Law he will establish them on earth. This establishment is a complete one, where mankind will be led by his true servants. They will rule, judge and maintain.

Today, no one follows the Law of Allah swt but pick and choose.

How will you ever become something when you consume riba, neglect the poor and weak, ignore shirk and corruption in the land?

Secularism is nothing but an empty worthless abomination. It would turn us into depraved creatures and assimilate to whatever is popular

You argue that Islam can’t be mixed with statehood. The prophet Muhammad peace be upon him were the most successful stateman in the history of mankind. The preparing of advancement to other territories made during his lifetime and after it, is yet to be matched in history.

Why? Secularism is the separation between religion and state. Why?
«Sharia is supposed to govern areas such as business, banking, contracts, family, marriage, divorce, security, criminal law and many other affairs pertaining to society. Although Muslims in Britain are subject to British law and the British legal system, Sharī’ah tribunals are allowed in certain areas as an alternative way of resolving disputes. These are aimed at resolving commercial, civil and matrimonial disputes to the satisfaction of both sides. Sharī’ah Law is based upon the Qur’ān and Sunnah, and judgements are made in accordance to these two sources. Only those well-versed with the Religion and jurisprudence (rulings in law) are permitted to judge in Sharī’ah matters.»

Don't care what a wahabi thinks go read the book called the memoirs of hempher. It was written in mid 1800.

I already have. The supposed British agent promotes Shi'ism. It's very interesting that the alleged British agent just happens to promote Shi'ism.

Also, that is no way to refute Sheikh Fawzan. The Sheikh provides evidence. All you do is cite some conspiracy theory that lacks actual evidence and very likely is just Shia propaganda. What you don't do is refute the actual evidence, which cites Umar Ibn al-Khattab, who certainly was no British agent.

And Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)- did he believe in Islamic law or was he a Westernized liberal who believed in secular law? By your logic, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a "Wahhabi".

Muslims have changed. The once flourishing world of creativity in the arts and improvements+conservation of the sciences has now been reduced to a joke.

There isn’t a single solid factor that has led to this. A number of reasons including the disregard for knowledge, continuous war (notably the Ottoman expansion and the Crusades) and the Destruction of The House of Knowledge by the Mongols.

The Religion hasn’t changed. Muslims are the ones that are falling victim due to their own stupidity.

The Europeans had fought each other for more than a millennium, however, the renaissance, a cultural revolution, transformed Europe.

Knowledge and creativity from antiquity was reinstated and this would lead to innovations in art, the sciences, and politics.

The renaissance led to the enlightenment, the cause of modern day America and the spread of humanism and democracy/equality. This led to the french revolution, napoleon and the industrial revolution.

By the time the industrial revolution and enlightenment had began, the ottomans were no more.

Like the Europeans, muslims needed a renaissance.
The ottomans controlled most of the muslim world, they didn’t have a significant period wherein islamic culture had flourished. Instead, their continuous wars and lack of innovation nor a cultural revolution held them back.

If islamic culture and science had flourished under the ottomans, we would have probably been like the europeans. Unfortunately, The ottomans were busy warring and expanding instead of actually staying at peace and giving the arabs autonomy and spreading education.

The failure to do so held them back a century.

Ottoman turkey lost ww1 easily. The cause was their failure to keep up with europe. Instead, they sat, satisfied at what they had conquered not knowing that without development, they will lack behind.
