I know what you mean, mind is too.

you gotta find Somalis that aren’t short sighted. I can’t lie I ain’t got many Somali friends but the few I do don’t think far ahead. We gotta go back home some day, so we might as well keep up to date with the situation there.

Some choose not to engage in Somali politics cause they're not that knowledgeable on the matter, same for me.

You should just let it go as forcing them isn't a good idea. And maybe it's for the better cause such discussions are bound to lead to FKD and you might end up losing friends.
