I have a few friends in Nursing, and they said that when they witnessed their first death, they couldn't stop crying.
Eventually, as with anything, you do get used to it. And definitely, the elderly are neglected, it is so sad.

RICH

The Qadr of Allaah ta’aala is always in our favor.
That’s when life smacks you in the face. It’s creepy because you know that his/her soul was taken away while you were there. You just don’t see or feel the horror that person is experiencing at that moment...

A persons last words are very haunting. My first actual death experience.

The elderly are neglected.
Reading your post sent shivers down my spine.A few months back I thought that I was going to die(for a very silly reason) and I couldnt stop thinking about death for the following days after. People you know well die suddenly and you can't help but wonder when will your time come.

Would you mind sharing about the patient's last words? What was his religion? What was express just before dying?

Are you a nurse?

First time I witnessed a patient die I was crying so much walah it felt like I lost a family member. You form a close bond with your patients no one understands, not even other nurses or doctors.

Days before my patient died I use to recite Quraan on him when he was in a lot of pain.

Old funny Cadaan geezer. He was screaming, “why me” faintly.

Everyone is born, lives and dies

The reality of mankind in short sentence. If people acted accordingly and realized their ephemeral status as beings, accepted vanity is not for the vanquishing, things would be easier for them.

Experiences like this old man's death reinforce the importance of faith. That life born then dead must have a meaning. It is one of the three certainties humans are given to take heed. Death is the second certainty.

I don't envy medical workers..:damedamn:

My sister who was getting experience for college worked in a hospital last summer and she told me once a badly constipated woman had forced out her intestines into the toilet in her constipation..:faysalwtf:

This is why I chose Software Engineering, when a program breaks or 'dies' its easily replaced, no trauma involved :mugshotman:
