It was not a particularly sunny day. I cannot lie and say, the weather was fantastic, or the ambience of my fateful meeting or encounter was great. But i was open minded, and willing to try something new. A friend of mine, cinina, lovely and jovial to a certain degree recommended me to try a blind date with her neighbor named RKelly. I told her that was a bad idea. RKelly the artist is known to be into pubescent girls, and his overall music career was Qalaas. In any event i met RKelly on this auspicious, not particularly sunny day.
RKelly, as i described in the Guess Somalispot member description was......
" Short and stout. Has a long pointy nose that is shaped like an eagles beak. Feminine y lips, feminine hips and figure. Large prominent ears. Looks like he is born from a famous influential somali family. Slightly happening Bidaar"
We met outside a venue, a café, where there were enough public, to guarantee my safety. The moment i arrived, he rose up, pointed to me where to sit, without shaking my hand in which i extended to him. I thought that was rude, but i graciously ignored it, hoping for the better. His face looked fierce, some what high on something, somewhat sweaty on the forehead, and some what upset. He excused himself to go to the bathroom, and after say......10 minutes, not seeing him return i began to worry. It was almost another 10 minutes when a very nervous waiter....who sort of looked like Somalispot "Lone" finally said to me:
"Ma'am...the gentleman left, and told me to tell you that the food is on him. He also said that he never met such an ugly Woman in his life, and that he will not speak to cinina, his besty neighbor for at least 40 days, for setting him up with you"
I smiled, and waited for Lone to go away before I cried. Alhamdhulilaah.
