I've always wondered what made them so much more extreme, American Muslims seem much more chill & ''American'' to say. Meanwhile the average UK Muslims on the media are very strict

I read it is because of the stricter immigration process in the U.S, where they put greater emphasis on being a skilled immigrant or undergoing really serious strife in your country of origin before you come in. Basically, they make them jump through more hoops compared to England where they seem to be mass importing South Asian villagers who have their own cultural baggage that muddies their interpretation of the deen, with lesser background checks and assimilation programs.

I personally think the size of the country is a big part of it. London is known to be so densely populated and with a lot of Muslims too that the racists there call it "Londonistan". So they're probably in each other's faces all the time, making it easier for someone who wanted to push a more volatile interpretation of the deen, because there'd be more of a social obligation to just go with it, whereas these American Muslims are split between a vast amount of large land so they can be "secular progressive Muslims" to more stricter Salafis more on their own accord, without some implicit peer pressure in the air, if what I'm saying makes sense?

I'd also like to add that the Muslims are predominantly South Asian and they already have a bad reputation somewhat, due to stuff like grooming gangs, cousin marriage & honour killings. Most of their beef with the Muslim community is actually aimed at the South Asians from what I can see.
