Man watching YT videos at 480p at best. Sometimes it gets so laggy and quality drops 144p ~ 240p.
I've tested Somtel 4g/4g+ at full bar but speeds are ridiculously low.
We have also Hormuud ASDL landline at home. At day time its impossible to watch anything whitout lags. Night times its decent.
P0rn is also blocked. I had to buy VPN.
Somtel charges 15$ for unlimited and Hormuud 20$. I miss watching 4k content.
Can u watch Netflix on itI pay 30 a month for this hormuud wifi and i can watch 1080p with no lag. Its totally fine for me.
I don’t have thatCan u watch Netflix on it
Hormuud is known to be expensive, on other providers that are faster they have them for like 1$ for 4-6GB. Most locals use the 2 day 1$ unlimited package from Somnet or Somtel. Barely anyone uses Hormuud for data.how do locals afford such expensive internet that’s western prices
Almost every household has Hormuud home internet, if you use a university student pass you get 18$ 4mbps, which is typically 30$. There are some new competitors etc Somtel home internet, and one new one called Bluecom, but everyone uses Hormuud for the 18$ discount even though it is less reliable. How common are Isps among locals (non diasporans) in comparison to mobile data?
