Al-'Ujayri is an engineer and a muslim intellectual, who have in my opinion a progressive opinions on topics such as Darwinism, and the sensitivity this topic cause in the Muslim world and and he calls to solve it.
In this video, they discuss the western culture influence on the Muslim youth in the west and in the Muslim world, along side other things like Darwinism, philosophy and epistemology.

1:21 on Western culture influence on Arab and Muslim world

1:10:10 about Darwinism

To know what you believe in
You need to know what you don’t believe in
To know Allah you need to learn about Allah
To know about Islam you must study Islam
The brother failed to refer all his points back to the sunnah instead he was referring to books by atheists

Bukhāri and Muslim reported from Ibn ‘Umar (radiyallāhu ‘anhumā) that Allāh’s Messenger (salallāhu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “Some eloquent speech is magic

“And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allaah and the Messenger.” An-Nisā’, 59

“That those who perished would perish upon evidence, and those who lived [in faith] would live upon evidence.” Al-‘Anfāl, 42

“And `Umar Ibnul-Khattaab rahimahullaah said, there is no excuse for anyone going astray, thinking that he is upon Guidance, nor for abandoning Guidance thinking it to be misguidance, since the affairs have been made clear, the proof has been established and the excuse has been cut off.”

May Allaah have mercy upon you. Know that the Religion is what came from Allaah, the Blessed and Most High. It is not something left to the intellect and opinions of men. Knowledge it is what comes from Allaah and His Messenger, so do not follow anything based upon your desires and so deviate away from the Religion and leave Islaam. There will be no excuse for you since Allaah's Messenger explained the Sunnah to his Ummah and made it clear to his Companions and they are the Jamaa'ah, and they are the Main Body (as-Sawaad ul-A'dham), and the Main Body is the truth and its followers.

8: Care With Respect to the Affairs of Knowledge and Religion
May Allaah have mercy upon you! Examine carefully the speech of everyone you hear from in your time particularly. So do not act in haste and do not enter into anything from it until you ask and see: Did any of the Companions of the Prophet (saws) speak about it or any of the scholars? So if you find a narration from them about it, cling to it, do not go beyond it for anything[1] and do not give precedence to anything over it and thus fall into the Fire.

NOTES
1. Imaam al-Awzaa'ee, rahimahullaah, said, "Knowledge is what comes from the Companions of Muhammad (saws) and that which does not come from a single one of them is not knowledge". Refer to Jaami 'Bayaanil - 'Ilm of Ibn 'Abdul Barr (2/36

9: The Two Ways to Leave the Straight Path
Know that leaving the correct path occurs in two ways. Firstly : that a man strays from the correct path intending nothing but good, so his error is not to be followed since it leads to destruction. (Secondly), a man who deliberately opposes the truth and acts contrary to the Pious ones who came before him, he is astray, leading others astray, a rebellious devil within the Ummah. It is a duty upon those who know of him to warn the people against him and to explain his condition to them so that no one falls into his innovation and is destroyed

To have a discussion with non believer, you need to not to use your believes to make a point, such as: "God said that in the Quran", or "it was mentioned in the hadhith". This is the fundamental idea of the 'ilm al-kalam.

Why you discussing with a non believer
If they’re points were solid
They would not need to discuss it
They’d have conviction in it

“And know that there would not be heresy, nor disbelief, nor doubts, nor innovation, nor misguidance, nor confusion in the religion except due to rhetoric and the people of rhetoric and due to argumentation, debating and disputation and those amazed by themselves. How can a man embark upon debating, disputation and argumentation whilst Allah, the Most High, stated:

مَا يُجَادِلُ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا

“No one disputes concerning the signs of Allah except those who disbelieve..

And dawah has conditions not all of us are permitted to do it

Why you discussing with a non believer
" Invite ˹all˺ to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and kind advice, and only debate with them in the best manner. Surely your Lord ˹alone˺ knows best who has strayed from His Way and who is ˹rightly˺ guided. "

“Say O Prophet, “This is my path; I invite to Allah with insight, me and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him in worship.” (Yusuf, 108)

“And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, “Indeed, I am of the Muslims.”” (Fussilat, 33)

“And there came from the farthest end of the city a man, running. He said, “O my people, follow the messengers!”” (Yāsīn, 20)

“Go to them patiently and calmly till you enter the land. Then, invite them to Islam, and inform them what is enjoined upon them, for, by Allah, if Allah gives guidance to somebody through you, it is better for you than possessing red camels.” (Sahih al-Bukhārī, 3009)

“He who called people to true guidance, there would be reward assured for him like the reward of those who adhered to it, without their reward being diminished in any respect. And he who called people misguidance, he shall have to carry the burden of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.” (Muslim 2674)

It is not part of the Islamic belief to believe in Darwinism
It is upon us to find out why
We only argue with truth

وَلَا تَلْبِسُوا الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا الْحَقَّ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
[Al-Baqarah:42]
Do not cover up the truth with falsehood nor conceal the truth while you know better. (Al-Baqarah: 42).

The Noble Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allah preserve him) stated explaining this verse:

This is another prohibition. Covering up the truth with falsehood. Meaning mixing the truth with falsehood. That which is obligatory is that the truth be distinguished from that which is falsehood. That which is obligatory is that the truth is to be taken and the falsehood is to be abandoned. As for mixing between the truth and falsehood and mixing between Kufr and Eemaan, this is negating the religion of Allah. The obligation of the Ulamaa is that they distinguish between the truth and falsehood. And it was from that which was obligatory upon the Children of Israeel, and they were Ulamaa, that they distinguish between the truth and falsehood. Therefore that which they are upon from Judaism and Christianity after the sending of Muhammad ﷺ, then it is falsehood. As for that which the Messenger ﷺ came with, it is the only truth. Therefore it is not permissible to mix between judaism, Christianity and Islaam. This is mixing between the truth and falsehood. Rather it is to be said: Indeed Islam is the true religion and that which is besides it is falsehood. That's because either it is abrogated by Islam, or either it is distorted and changed from that which Allah has revealed. And there doesn't remain a after the sending of the Messenger ﷺ a religion other than Islam. Allah has said:

['Aali 'Imran:19]
Indeed the religion with Allah is Islam. (Aali 'Imraan:19)
and He also stated:
وَمَنْ يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
['Aali 'Imran:85]
And whoever desires a relgion other than Islam it will never be accepted from him and in the here after he will be from amongst the losers. (Aali 'Imraan:85).
...and do not conceal the truth while you know better.
It is not permissible for the one who knows the truth to conceal it from the people. Rather it is upon him to clarify it to the people in order that the people can be upon insight. This is the obligation of the Ulamaa, clarifying the truth and not concealing anything from the truth because Allah sent down this knowledge for the people. He didn't send it down for you alone to keep it stored away in your chest leaving the people upon their ignorance and misguidance. Rather it is obligatory upon every 'Aalim to clarify for the people that. which Allah has revealed. Whoever is pleased with it is pleased with it. Whoever dislikes it dislikes it. This is in order that he fulfills his responsibility and in order that Allah benefits whoever He wills the guidance for.
