is there a problemYou can't be serious posting shit like that sxb.
Looks amazing.
This port is temporary that's why they dont care, its too congested there's barely any space to put STS cranes, they are building a new one for 850 million $ near Warsheikh, thats way more than Berbera port btw, so it will probably look better and more modern, regardless I believe this one should get an upgrade cause its not going to just get abandonnedAlso investment needs to be put into developing, modernizing and organizing the port. It looks dirty and folxumo compared to global standards. Containers placed in an unorganized fashion, pavement markings would help with that. They're also dropped anywhere they find space it seems. If only we got China to help with the development and modernization of this port.

Yeah this is what I mean, the current Mogadishu port isnt going anywhere and it will still be used as a local port once the new one becomes operational so it should be upgraded. The new one will obviously become the main port in the future but upgrading the current one will help with the aesthetic of city. This port is temporary that's why they dont care, its too congested there's barely any space to put STS cranes, they are building a new one for 850 million $ near Warsheikh, thats way more than Berbera port btw, so it will probably look better and more modern, regardless I believe this one should get an upgrade cause its not going to just get abandonned

No i think it won't be used a port. Not only is it too small and congested but its location leads to heavy traffic congestion as there isnt a carriage way in and out the port. It might be re-purposed into a marina or perhaps into prime real estate development.Yeah this is what I mean, the current Mogadishu port isnt going anywhere and it will still be used as a local port once the new one becomes operational so it should be upgraded. Wouldn't that be ridiculously expensive ? And isnt the thing too high and massive to be a normal marina ? It will probably just be a secondary port for a good decade at leastNo i think it won't be used a port. Oh definitely. The new port won't be ready for atleast 6-10 years, but im thinking far into the future, inshallah. As mogadishu develops more people are going to seek more luxurious developments and that area is prime spot.Wouldn't that be ridiculously expensive ? No it will be finished before 2030, 2028-2029 if everything goes well, I assume it's going to be the biggest port in the Peninsula since its going to be more expensive than Berbera which already looks hugeOh definitely. The new port won't be ready for atleast 6-10 years
The area to the left of the port is especially beautiful, compared to Djibouti and Berbera the area immidiately around the port is quite densely populated, in Djibouti from memory I can remember the port being kinda secluded with sesta beach on the east sideAs mogadishu develops more people are going to seek more luxurious developments and that area is prime spot.
