Somalia is the only Cushitic majority country where their language is spoken and celebrated, we are not like Djibouti where they force their citizens to learn French and we are not Ethiopia where everyone has to learn Amharic, events like these hold alot of significance to us since we're one of the few cushites who are seeking to further develop our language.

I really like that this book fair program has spread all across Somalia. We have Hargeisa, Garowe and now Xamar. Hopefully other cities will get in on the initiative too.
