It did go viral on Somali Twitter. It has over 400k views, and on another account, it has 1 million views. Ethiopia invaded Xamar in 2006 and got smoked. Somalis will put aside their differences and unite if Ethiopia even thinks about invading Somalia. It won't go well for Ethiopia.

You can tell he was smiling to minimize the abuse. The kid probably went through something terrible in the past because that is a typical trauma response, in self-preservation mode, trying to signal, "I am friendly, not a threat." It also comes from alienation and feeling very insecure about life in general among foreign peoples.
