So Turkey are playing both sides
Seems turkey will become the new USSR in the region supplying both sides of the same conflict, creating a nigh equal armed forces between Somalia and Ethiopia, eventually it will be in the hands of the Turks on who will win the war. I think we know how far reaching ankaras decision will be if they so choose to support us or Ethiopia and upend support to the other party.
How can turkey combat piracy if Ethiopia doesnβt have a coastline, can piracy be used to describe banditry on the interior, in that case perhaps Oromos will feel safe leaving Addis abba and traveling through their lands.
It looks like Ethiopia is moving into UAE camp they recently signed 17 agreements in 2023, meanwhile, FGS is all over the place politically.

Fairly certain this is in relation to the Tigray war that ran from 2020 to 2022. This was also during the tensions between Ethiopia and Egypt, Turkey didn't have a positive relation with the latter at the time. They provided military aid during the war after the Tigray forces threatened officials from Turkey.
We could go through this but fundamentally sides change in this political game. Today's friends are tomorrow's enemies. It's best to make deals when you're not on steady ground but it is also best to plan for the worst possible outcome.

Let ethiopia get closer to UAE as thats currently the only reliable ally they have after defaulting loans. It wonβt be long till they pull a zoodan on ethiopia as ethnic tensions are on the rise. Meanwhile we stay closer to the US, Turkish, and Qatari Sphere of influence while we develop infrastructure, fight al shabaab and develop security for economic growth
