Great topic, sxb. I’ve got family in Hargeisa, and for the past two years they have been complaining about the large Oromo population. Now even the local Somali population is starting to talk about this online, and people are beginning to notice. These Oromos are becoming bold and are fighting women for their cell phones because of the mobile banking on them. Two years ago, people in Hargeisa were whispering about deporting the Oromos, but now it’s being talked about publicly.
Pretty much everyone is chill except oromos
So many stories of them stealing and assaulting people in Hargeisa and even Garowe
Why are Oromos coming to our lands when they have Addis which is x10 more developed and they actually have their own kin there?

I really want to know this more about this I've read around this forum and apparently they take up jobs somalis don't want to take and theres more economic opportunities here even the pay is apparently higher which is shocking for Ethiopia

Ethiopia is a superficial country, the urbanization rate is 24% one of the least urbanized countries in the modern world, one in four ethiopians still live in huts in the countryside.
Just think about it, can you name any other city than Addis Ababa ? When people think Ethiopia they immidiately think about the skyscrapers of downtown Addis Ababa and not the 99% rest of the country, just look at their economy their GDP per capita is 1200$/year
This pretty much resumes the whole country
Also those fancy roads and empty skyscrapers that Abiy and TPLF built don't mean shit when the population is starving, slums and insecurity everywhere, not to mention the insane rates of prostitution (prostitution capital of africa)
Don't forget about all the xasuq that's happening too, but you'll never hear about that on the news like Somalia

There’s no circulation of money in Ethiopia, everything is controlled by the government even in a big city like Adis, when they come to Somalia they can make good money since many Somalis look down on labour heavy jobs

And here is the bitter truth : 80% of the city's residents live in informal housing, and the ones that are able to barely afford housing live in 1 room apartments, nearly half of Ethiopians live in homes with just one room, and around 1/3 dont even have a kitchen
Just think about it, think about it deeply and you'll understand, you just have to ask yourself a single question, have you ever seen a neighborhood like this in Ethiopia ? Unless its a gated community for the 0.01% this doesn't exist, meanwhile at least half of Somalis live like this, it's clear as day whose richer.

Its funny how our governments are poor but the people are rich, its reflected in the way we lack basic public services and most neighborhoods dont have paved roads
And for Ethiopians its the opposite, the government is rich but the people are poor, deeply poor, real african poor

Here is a pregnant oromo lady who gave birth in the middle of the desert without any water, if this somali didnt happen to pass by she would certainly be baqti in a few days
There is simply nothing we can do, we dont control the Somali Oromo border in Ogaden and oromos can cross into Somali lands freely, this is why I tell people to not be too happy about the situation in Ethiopia getting worse, imagine the day their whole state collapse how bad the repercussions will be on us, we can barely take care of our 3M IDPs so imagine tens of millions pourring in
If people still dont believe me and think its just that lady watch this video, multiple people all saying the same thing, oromos are nothing but trouble

I myself have stayed in Hargeisa for some time and I've never had my stuff stolen or anything but I noticed that oromo ladies are begging with their children everywhere, when you tell them no they will send their children to harass you until you give them boqol or kun shillings, you literally cant eat or drink outside restaurants without a few surrounding you sometimes, especially outside some aden nineteen shops
And about the men, I only rarely saw them walking in groups at night, but I noticed many of them when the adhaan is called they will walk in the opposite direction of the masjid, and my dad told me its because many of them arent muslim

The SL and PL should secure their borders uncontrolled immigration is a national security threat. We need to secure our borders asap and stop unvetted immigrants from oromia and yemen entering our country in high numbers. I remember when yemen used to shoot down boats of somali refugees trying to cross into the yemeni border and now we just let them come in as if they are guests. Appalling behaviour.
