As we are aware, Jowhar has been undergoing some flooding for some time. Main roads routes to the airport have been blocked by water. Things are getting tough.

Alhamdulilah the local Jowhar admin spearheaded by the District commissioner Osman Muqtar (Baarey) and his team have been conducting tremendous work in the riverbanks by creating a temporary counter to floods.

Alhamdulilah the local Jowhar admin spearheaded by the District commissioner Osman Muqtar (Baarey) and his team have been conducting tremendous work in making sure the roads that were damaged by the floods are repaired and cross able after being blockaded the past year. This is the main road that connects Jowhar to the airport and is very crucial to development.

Fruit production in Jowhar town of Middle Shabelle is going great. Especially this time round the fruits are much riper and this encourages the local population to open food stands to sell cool sweet fruit drinks. This supports businesses and farmers and overall increases the trade in the town.
