Damn really? I've heard places like /pol/ say the exact same thing so I assumed it was some alt-right conspiracy.

Their whole purpose is to select clips (sometimes mistranslating and taking out of context) from Muslim speakers (primarily the Arab world and the Middle East) to paint Islam and Muslims in a negative light to Western audiences. They want to portray Islam and Muslims as these “irrational barbaric people” who are a threat to Western and global civilization.
