Do Australian muslims avoid Macdonald's? I feel like UK muslims are the only ones who actively understand what Halal/Haram food is. Then again even in the UK gen Z be eating cheeseburgers like its nothing nowadays. Dont get me started on reer henny/USA....
We have halal certified McDonalds in every city. Sydney and Melbourne have several and the smaller cities will have one or two.
But since Australia is a meat-producing country for Indonesia, Malaysia and the MENA, most of the meat is halal.
The problem is a lot of chains do not want to advertise it or even get the certificate for political reasons.
Long story short: Most food is halal in Australia but only a few McDonalds/KFC in each city is halal certified.
